Volontariato in Belgio
Basilicata Link collabora con CBB Belgium da diversi anni, ora ci sono nuove opportunità di volontariato ESC lungo termine nel territorio di lingua francese.
1) Name: Compagnons Bâtisseurs – Volunteer Messengers
Activity dates: 01/07/2022 – 30/04/2023
Deadline: 20/04/22 – 23:59
Project description: The Association of Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, is a non-profit, non-political youth organisation recognised by the French Community of Belgium. The organisation proposes different kinds of activities, mainly based on volunteering and non-formal education: local and international work camps, medium and long term voluntary service, week-end workcamps, leisure time activities for and with disabled people, youth exchanges and local and international trainings.

The volunteer will be involved in the promotion, preparation, implementation and follow-up of our voluntary projects and non-formal education activities (work camps and weekends, youth exchanges, environmental weeks, volunteering days, pre camps, preparation sessions….). S/he will help CBB team in its role of support organisation for more than 16 ESC volunteers on the French speaking territory, and will be involved in local activities. S/he will also work sometimes in partnership with other local youth and social organisations. As part of CBB team, we will expect from him/her to attend collective activities such as staff meeting, General Assembly, team building day… This project includes administrative tasks, some IT time but also manual work on a regular basis!
2) Name: Compagnons Bâtisseurs – Hyphen for inclusion
Activity dates: 01/07/2022 – 30/04/2023
Deadline: 20/04/22 – 23:59
Project description: The Association of Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, is a non-profit, non-political youth organisation recognised by the French Community of Belgium. Hyphen for inclusion is one of our best projects. Indeed, this project is mostly about leisure activities during weekends happening all over Belgium with people with light mental disability (they can walk, talk, they just need a tiny bit support in the daily life to be on time, not forget their sweaters/coat before going out…)
As the volunteer accompanies the residential weekends, s/he gets to know many many places in Belgium. While being on working hours, they can experience all the folklore of Belgium such as carnival, medieval festivals, Christmas markets… They also visit many places such as castles, winery, recreational parks… They also get to travel abroad for one to two activities.
This project is also very great to learn and practice French intensively while building up a wide network of new friends, as these weekends also involve young local volunteers (on a weekend the groups are: 2/3 of people with mental disability and 1/3 of young local volunteers).
